Joy, Love, and Peace

I. Jesus’ teaching on Joy in this passage.

II. Jesus’ teaching on Love in this passage (vv. 26-28).
The Father’s personal love to us should do three things:

1. Encourage us to pray — He is not distant and unwilling. Notice our Lord's words — we can go to Him directly because He loves us.
2. Give us confidence in praying — We know He cares and is concerned because He said He loves us.
3. Give us joy in praying (v. 24).
