The Beauty of Our King

The Assyrians had invaded Judah with a vast army under the direction of Rabshekah; he terrified the people with his threatening words but Isaiah conveyed God's message of victory to the people. We have a king far more majestic then Hezekiah, our well beloved Monarch who suffered in the days of His fleshly existence but in our text there is a precious promise of His triumph over evil and His victory over the sin of His covenant people. Our Lord has forgiven His covenant people with blessings beyond imagination, glories beyond our grasp, and happiness beyond the utmost blessings of this flesh.
