Why Are We Here?

Being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we endure; being defamed, we entreat. We have been made as the filth of the world, the offscouring of all things until now
Why am I here?
It is not for me.
There is freedom in this really.
Once I realize it is normal for a servant of God to be taken advantage of, unjustly attacked, etc, it is really freeing.
What does it mean to live for Jesus? I know it means you do not live for you.
I don’t think you can really have a revelation that answers the question “why are we here?” until you settle the fact that you are NOT here for you.
Why are we here? To be a light in a dark world. To be a light in a dark world you need to be different from the world. You need to be a servant. Servant’s realize their responsibilities are not about them.
