Abrahamic Covenant

The covenant with Abraham is not to be exclusively equated with the covenant of grace. There is also a covenant of works aspect associated with circumcision. The covenant with Abraham is a dichotomous covenant. It has a two-fold aspect. One aspect concerns the spiritual children of Abraham, the children of promise (the elect). The other aspect concerns Abraham's physical seed, the children of the flesh, who are under the covenant of works and bondage.
