Offering comfort to His disciples who were upset over the idea that He would be leaving them, Jesus assures them that they know the way. He then goes on in one sentence to make the most exclusive and in some circles most offensive of all of His sayings. 'I am the way, the truth and the life, no man comes to the Father but by me.'
