Preaching Gospel or Contemporary Music

Not every new song is a bad song. However so much of the new concept of contemporary music puts a different attitude toward worship. It is important to remember that one of our main goals is to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Worshiping God in song is extremely important but today sometimes people put preaching in a back seat and singing at the front. Music should not be used to simply get people to come. Music should also not be the main reason you are attending a specific Church. If the song service becomes more the centerpiece or focus of the worship service then we have gotten off track. The Preaching of God’s Word should always hold a very special and center place in worship.
