The Father's Will

We come this week to the start of the teaching section on Christ being the bread of Life. If you remember that last week, we talked about Jesus correcting the Jews. The had seen Him, acknowledged He was the Prophet who was to come (vs. 14), yet they didn't believe in Him. They did not come to a place of real Salvation yielding their lives before Him, bowing to his authority. Therefore Christ points them to the one “Work of God”. The work of a Lifetime, starts like a journey with a single step, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him who was sent.” (Vs. 29) Christ gave this promise to those who looked to Him, “He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes on Me shall never thirst.” (Vs. 35) This is where we want to be. We don't want to miss this. This week we will look at the the rest of this section as God tells us some incredibly good news about our life with God.
