The Symbolism of Barabbas
"Hold your seat"
Our experience with God has got to correspond with that which is set forth in the word of God. If it's genuine!
Barabas is an important figure in the Word of God.
He portrays the sinner, the Saint,. the nation of Israel and the anti- Christ as well as God's method of redemption.
He was guilty
He was sentenced
He was helpless
He was bound
He was dependent upon a supernatural deliverance from outside himself!
He was separated from everybody else.
He was standing before the judge shackled and at the judges's discretion.
His only means of deliverance was substitution.
He was delivered by sovereign grace.
It was singularly experienced by Barabbas. It was personal.
He walked in guilty and walked out free.
