The Healing Christ

In this passage we see that Jesus' mighty works of healing drew great crowds of people, but the demons recognized him clearly. Christ's healing miracles were a fulfillment of OT prophecies of the Messiah's ministry, and they were unmistakeable evidence that he was the Son of God - a fact true in that day and no less true in our day. Jesus Christ, the great Healer, is the risen Savior, and from heaven he continues his ongoing healing ministry in the church by means of the work of the sovereign Spirit.
