Creation of Man

I just want to, briefly look at the Biblical account of the creation of man, into whom God breathed the breath of life and Man became a living soul. This is directly opposed to evolutionary teaching that man evolved from mud to apes and, eventually man. So sad that there are Evangelicals who believe in Theistic Evolution. I cannot see how anybody who claims to be a Bible believing Christian can hold such views. As we know, Christ Himself, when dealing with the question of divorce said; "Have ye not read, that he who made them at the BEGINNING made them male and female." Matthew 19:4. It would seem that some modern day Evangelicals know better than Christ.
