God's Holy People

God has purchased us as His own special people at a great cost! Jesus Christ, His only begotten Son, died in our place that we might be His forever. In view of His great redemption in Christ, and of His being a holy God, it necessarily follows that God's people must be holy. It was thus in the Old Testament covenant people of God, and it is so today in the church. In our text there are two important facets of holiness: being distinct or separate from the world, and being wholly consecrated to God in all of life. Do you know how to be holy before the Lord?
