The Atheist Bus Campaign Answered – There Is EVIDENTLY A God!

875 ( 568 | 307 )

January 2009 witnessed the launch of 'The Atheist Bus Campaign' in the United Kingdom.

Conceived by comedy writer Ariane Sherine, and part-sponsored by the British Humanist Association, advertising space on public transport was purchased so that the slogan could be displayed, “There’s probably no God. Now stop worrying and enjoy your life.”

Apart from actually seeing the ads themselves, many Christians will have heard of this campaign as a result of the principled stand taken by a bus driver in Southampton, England, who refused to drive his bus when displaying this atheistic slogan.

These ads have since appeared on public transport systems in Italy, Spain and Canada.

In this message, we examine:

(1) THE ADMISSION THIS SLOGAN PROCLAIMS.

(2) THE AVOIDANCE THIS SLOGAN PRACTISES.

(3) THE ALTERNATIVE THIS SLOGAN PROMOTES.
