Give me wisdom!

Three Points about Wisdom in the Text

1. Solomon’s request meets with God’s Approval (v. 11).
2. Solomon’s request is in accordance with God’s Offer.
3. Solomon’s request is based on God’s ability to Provide.
   Why do I need wisdom?
4. It’ll make you happy: “Happy is the man who finds wisdom and the man who gets understanding.” (Prov. 3:13)
5. Because Solomon was not wise when it came to his personal life.
6. Because of our work, career, profession.
7. Because of financial decisions.
8. Because of relationships.
9. Because of the various moral and seemingly insignificant choices we have to make.
10. Because of our tongues — what we say, when, how, etc. Wisdom to guard our mouths!
11. Because of our friendships.
12. Because of our family and relatives.
    How do I get wisdom?
13. Fear the Lord.
14. Ask the Lord.
15. Study and Meditate on God’s Word.
16. Ponder death.
17. Pray.
18. Most importantly, find it in Christ.
