The Sword of the Spirit

The only offensive component in the armor of God is "the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.” Throughout Scripture. The Word and the Spirit are inseparable. The Holy Spirit is the activating power of God’s Word: God speaks and the Spirit makes it so. The sword in our armor is the Word of God, enlightened, directed and empowered by the Holy Spirit to hit its mark and accomplish its purpose.
