Pray Without Ceasing

We are here reminded that prayer is often a spiritual battle in which the hosts of darkness try to interfere. We are encouraged to pray all kinds of prayer: prayers of thanksgiving, intercession and of petition. Often we pray when in challenging circumstances, beset by troubles, hardships and trials of various kinds, even persecution. Many times we are tempted to stop praying, often claiming we are too busy, and at times when we may be tired, or when our attention-span is short. We should pray regularly, sometimes when what we are praying for may seem a lost-cause. Pray for our growth as Christians, as we will not grow unless we pray. Prayer develops character, it helps us contend for the faith. Be encouraged, the Lord knows and hears our prayers. Remember the Lord's extraordinary power - be often found in the place of prayer!
