Awaiting a Greater Reality

A common misconception about the age to come is that God's people will discard their material existence. However, the Scripture teaches that the redeemed of the Lord will not dwell eternally as disembodied spirits. God has prepared new, glorified bodies for our eternal dwelling. In the age to come, our existence will not be less substantial but more substantial. In fact, this present state of existence is like "shadowlands" compared with the greater reality that awaits God's people in the new heavens and the new earth.
