Trusting in Tough Times

Often when God comes to rescue His people it looks as if things get worse. God sent Moses to declare to the Israelites to free them. All who live Godly lives must suffer persecution. Most people want to skip over the crucifixion and go straight to the resurrection. After God has told His people He was going to deliver them, then things got worse. The Israelites at this time do not know it, but God is going to use their suffering to bring Himself glory. When God reveals His glory it is a gift to us. Knowing God is why we were made. Getting to know God is a process and it is not instantaneous. We were made by Him and for Him and to have a relationship with Him. In this passage, God is in the process of demonstrating His power. We must get to a point when we realize that God is in control of the Universe. God allowed His people to suffer so that when they were delivered they would know it is from the Lord.
