The baptism sacrament isn't just for the baby or just the family who came to watch or just for the parents standing up there. It's a picture for everyone who sees it. We should see the picture of the assurance from the Lord of the washing away of our guilt with the blood of Christ. Based on Lord's Day 26 of the Heidelberg Catechism.
