Worship - Its Components Pt 4 [Supplication in Prayer]

We are coming to the last of these four elements of prayer - Supplication.

All true prayer must eventually climax with supplication. This is the whole purpose of praying in the first place. We come to God to ask something from God.

We have acknowledged who God is; our own utter unworthiness and our dependence upon Him; our thankfulness for every blessing He has bestowed upon us.

These previous three elements of prayer all lead to the climax of supplication. We have needs which only God can supply. They are needs which will only be supplied by prayer.

Remember James' counsel: ye have not because ye ask not. We must ask and that with fervency.

Consider this fourth element of prayer: What are we to make supplication for?
