Bound to the Will of God

Jeremiah prophecies the Word from God that Judah should not fight against the will of God. That Judah and her allies should yield to the king of Babylon for God had given all the land into his hand for a time and season. To fight against what God had ordained would be place themselves in greater harm from sword, famine and pestilence. Jeremiah uses the figure of bands and yolks to say that they must yield to Gods sovereign purpose of suffer as a people.
