There Is Therefore Now No Condemnation
Part 2:
In Order that the Righteous Requirement of the Law
Might Be Fulfilled in Us
There is therefore now no condemnation to those in Christ Jesus (v. 1)
Reason #1: For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made you free from the law of sin and death (v. 2)
Reason #2: For God has done what the law could not do: condemned sin in the flesh (v.3)
Purpose: So that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us (v. 4a)
To those who do not walk according to the flesh (4b)
But to those who walk according to the Spirit (4c)
Run, John, run, the law commands
But gives us neither feet nor hands,
Far better news the gospel brings:
It bids us fly and gives us wings.
