Mighty To Save

Christ was anointed to declare the year of the Lord's favour – the Day of His grace – good news to the poor, to the broken hearted and to the captives. He came to exchange our mourning for the oil of joy and our faint spirit for a garment of praise. He came to establish His eternal city of love and make it a praise in all the earth. Clothed in His blood-stained robe, marching in the greatness of His victory, He is mighty to save and mighty to defeat the evil of this world. We should not take such liberating grace for granted nor doubt Christ's present power.
