Sodom's Last Night on Earth

Here we have a stunning contrast between the sons of God, preserved from their own folly and the sons of wrath, who pursue sin to their sudden end. Yahweh has sent his two witnesses to confirm the outcry against Sodom. Judgment is about to fall on the cities of the plain. Lot, the wayward covenant son warmly welcomes God's servants, thus confirming his faith to the Lord, and narrowly escaping Judgment by "the skin of his teeth." However, the men of Sodom are contrasted with Lot as those who not only deserve God's wrath, but actively pursue their doom in blind rage.
