The 70 Weeks Prophecy

As Daniel concluded his prayer of confession for himself and the Jews, the angel Gabriel interrupted his prayer and set forth before him a vision of the unfolding of history before him. The vision of the future was cast in a temporal framework of 70 weeks which would commence with the issuing of a decree to rebuild Jerusalem and would climax with arrive of Messiah the Prince.
