Paul discusses his travel plans with the church at Rome. But more than a mere itinerary, this passage instructs the church in how to deal with events in the spiritual life of the church that seem difficult or unhelpful. Rather than a reaction of discontent, doubt, or bitterness the church must keep is focus on her Lord.
