Do You Love Me

Pastor Tim Goad takes us deep into this picture of a beautiful restoration of Peter, whom to this point, had been the over zealous and brash disciple, quick to act and speak before depth of thought. We see the specific and distinct reason and meaning behind the two uses of the word love in phileo= brotherly affection, that which IS conditional. And agapao= complete and utter selfless love, devoid of thought of pride or want, but seeks to serve the object of it's affection. But through this interaction we see Peter humbled in his acknowledgment of his lack, and ability, to love the LORD perfectly, and so JESUS restores him in this acknowledgement and commands him to teach and guide not only the weak and young in their faith, but also the mature to become stronger in their love for GOD.
