The God of the Covenant

Aim: To thoroughly relish (together) our covenant God.

Doctrine: When God redeems His church, He richly secures her. This process does not exempt us from travail, but it does result in an absolute relationship (with God, through the Messiah).

Exegesis: The realms of bonding, achieved by Christ: God and His church are covenantally one (v. 1), enjoy eternal bliss (vv. 2-5), and embrace in worship (v. 6).

Further application: How to fall in love with the God of the covenant: trust that our trials are for our good, and believe that Jesus fully represents all of God's character.
