PURPOSE:
"That saved a wretch like me."

a. Saved (past tense), Eph 2:1-9

b. Wretch like me (present tense), Rom 7:9-25

Therefore,

1. We REJOICE in gospel grace in its power to save
2. We RESPOND soberly to temptation knowing sin crouches at the door
3. We RECOGNIZE, if Adam, being made perfect initially, has fallen in sin, we must take heed (1 Cor 10:12)
4. We REGARD humble submission to Christ in, by & through the gospel is of utmost importance for daily living, for the gospel of Christ is the basis for any good works to come forth (Jas 4:7-10)
