According to recent international studies, America spends the most on education - and gets the least. Incredibly, America has fallen in reading, science, and mathematics; it now ranks close to the nations with the worst economic problems such as Greece and Italy. Of the OECD (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development) countries, America slipped from 11th place to 21st place in reading and takes the dead last position in mathematics.
