A virtual war is in progress over two perspectives of parenting in the columns of the Wall Street Journal. The Chinese Dragon Mothers insist on their children making their parents proud. And if they shame their parents, somebody's going to pay, pay, and pay some more. Parental pride trumps love. Then you have the softy permissive Western parents who don't love their children enough to hold them to anything. So who has more love for their kids? Which will corrupt their society faster?
