Opposition to God's Promises

God, being sovereign over all, rules over the affairs of mankind with an unchanging goal. Everything going on around the world is subject to what God is doing in Israel, with His chosen people. Nations and their rulers, economics, weather, and all issues affecting the lives of people everywhere are being orchestrated by Him to accomplish His goals.

The world and everything in it is His by right of Him being Creator. Being Creator He has authority over whom and what He has created. That makes all mankind, through all the ages, subject to Him. By nature, as sinners, mankind opposes God and His Son whom He sent to be the Savior of all.

Many of the promises of God concerning His Son were fulfilled at His first coming - despite being opposed in varying degrees. Just as literally, and just as opposed, will be the fulfillment of His promises concerning the second coming of Jesus Christ. His goals will be accomplished and Jesus Christ will rule over all the earth while dwelling on the earth.

God has revealed that Christ will return to earth when the nation of Israel repents and returns to Him.
