A Tale of Two Kings

The First half of Isaiah, Chapters 1-39 has often been called the Book of the King because of it's frequent prophecies of the Messianic King, our Lord Jesus Christ. But this portion of Isaiah is also structured by the Kings who reigned in Judah during the time of Isaiah's public ministry. Uzziah in the year of whose death, Isaiah sees the Lord in vision and is converted and commissioned as a prophet in Chapter 6. Chapter 7 has Isaiah's dealings with King Ahaz, whose unbelief determines the immediate future of Judah. Ahaz stands in contrast to Hezekiah, whose faith determines Judah's deliverance.
This message delivered in the Sunday School of the Fellowship Bible Church in Greentown, Pa seeks to tell the story of these two Kings. Ahaz who through unbelief fails and brings judgment to himself and his nation and Hezekiah whose faith brings deliverance to himself and his nation.
