The Uselessness of Regret

This is the end of a year. Are you reviewing the year with practically continual regret? Many are. This is futile, injurious, and unnecessary. it is true of course that godly sorrow is necessary in order to get right with God after we have sinned and failed in our stewardship. Continual penitential sorrow is not good. As guilt comes in joy goes out. All Christians have Christ's past and are have a royal invitation to a banquet of grace. "Thou art commanded to come" (Genesis 45:19).
