This message is a study of the call of Jesus Christ with reference to the call of the Christian minister. Few consider that Jesus did enter into His ministry with self-commissioned authority; He was sent into His work. Since Jesus Christ, the Son of God, did not (as a man) enter into His ministry by His own authority, no one should enter the ministry without a commission from God. Proverbs 28:26 says, 'He that trusteth to his own heart is a fool.' How shall men speak (that is, with authority) unless they are sent, Romans 10:15?
