Stir the ashes

Fire is an amazing thing, even when you think it has finally gone out it can still have enough life left in it to rekindle. All it needs are the right conditions. David here had gotten to the point where he had become apathetic and perhaps thought the fire had gone out. He had gotten so good at ignoring the foolish people he had started doing it on a broader basis and by doing such he was ignoring God as well. But one who knows God as their Father will have a hard time ignoring Him forever. The ashes just need to be stirred a little to start it all back up.
