We love the Word because it is a peaceful reflection of the truth, a peaceful revelation of mercy, and a peaceful road-map through life. This peace stabilizes the mind and the life.
The LORD would tell us: "Stand in the ways and see, ask for the old paths, where the good way is, and walk in it; then you will find rest for your souls" (Jeremiah 6.16). The people to whom the LORD addressed these words replied, "We will not walk in it." It is terrible to think that we can make that same dreadful choice.
