The True Meaning of Christmas: Will Worship

In this text of Zechariah, a remarkable example is made of the way God views religious service that is the creation of man's mind. Despite all that appears devout in the exercise of the Jewish Captives, God disavows the autonomous origin of the service, and shows it's connection with man's own pleasure. The sermon is a defense of the Reformation Principle: "the acceptable way of worshiping the true God is instituted by Himself, and so limited to His revealed will, that He may not be worshiped according to the imaginations and devices of men...."
