Biblically Right Thinking

Thesis: Christians tend to neglect the mind in the role of salvation and sanctification. But the Bible has plenty to say about how the truth it proclaims should drive our lives.

1. DISCIPLINE OF GOSPEL THINKING

   • "Think about these things" - 'dwell' = live
     in the mind with these things . . . . .
     • TRUE - Truth is a person = Jesus (John 14:6)
       • is absolute and foundational, not relative
     • HONORABLE - 'revere' = Jesus
     • JUST - 'righteous' = law = reveals God
     • PURE - 'holy' = undefiled = seeing Jesus

2. GOD OF PEACE FOR HIS CHILDREN

   • right thinking leads to right lifestyle
   • imitation should be truth based
   • Peace is a guaranteed promise for those
     that practice right thinking/pratice
