The Birth of the Lamb

The events surrounding the birth of the Lord Jesus Christ would appear to be known even by those ignorant of the Scriptural account, thanks to children's nativity plays, and common culture. However, there is much that the Scriptures reveal, both foretold in the Old Testament, and fulfilled in the New Testament, as the birth of Christ is announced to the shepherds:
