The Wonder of His (God's) Love, taken over two studies from this verse.

First, [see "The Wonder of His Love (1)] on this verse), dealing with, how it is a wonder that he loved us at all, considering our sinfulness - enmity, guilt and filthiness. Yet this is how God's love has been manifested in that he sent his Son into the world for such people as we are.

Second, (this study) how it is a wonder that he loved us so much, that he sent no other than his Son, into no less than "the world", by no other way than by becoming human, for no other reason than that he might be the "propitiation for our sins", thus that he be our Saviour and that we might "live through him."
