Serving the Church

Along with his letter to the Romans, Paul sends his recommendation of Phoebe and his greetings to those whom he knows in the church at Rome. While this passage provides an intriguing look into the nature of church life during the Apostolic age the point is rather to promote the work of the gospel in the local church. In this sermon we are encouraged to love and cherish those who labor in service to the gospel and to the church.
