We Are in No Wise Cast Out!

God takes pity on the poor helpless sinners that He loves. God loves people who are nobodies, completely unremembered in history.

There is a pathetic image circulating on the internet, of an emaciated, starving kitten, who has come up to a strong man, and placed his little head and paw on the top of the man's boot, pleading for rescue.

But the picture has a sad ending. The man describes how he decided not to save the pitiful creature, because there were many helpless people for him to rescue. The man had no place to keep the kitten, nor the resources to waste in rescuing him, so he left the kitten alone to die.

Such a story brings to the minds of believers our Lord Jesus' promise, that whoever comes to Him, He will in NO WISE cast out!

The man had no good place to keep the kitten, but Jesus is preparing a place for us in His Father's House!

That kitten died alone in the mud because nobody would rescue him, but Jesus never cast out anyone of us who comes to Him.

That man lamented that he had no resources to save the little kitten. He could not bear the cost of it.

Our Lord Jesus needed a sacrifice to save us, and He provided in His Own Body that offering for our sin.

The cost of Jesus saving us was His very life at Calvary. It cost our Lord Jesus everything to save us, to keep His promise.

The bottom line is this: even though Jesus has a clear-eyed view of who we are, of all of our sin, of all our weaknesses, of our helplessness, our frailty, our hopelessness, and of the awful cost He must pay to save us, nevertheless, He promises us that “whoever cometh to Me I will in NO WISE cast out!”

There will be no failed rescues by our Lord Jesus!
