Present Assurance and Future Hope

Peter provides several forms of assurance to help Christians face suffering. We assurance in the example of Crhist, the work of Christ, and our union with Christ. In considering these assurances in Christ, we should be motivated to live hopeful and faithful in Christ even when troubled by fear and conflict.
