Hold Fast till He Comes

Jesus Christ, through His servant John, told the church at Thyarira to hold fast till He come, encouraging the believers there to overcome the false teaching that existed in that church.

Commendation: - The church at Thyatira is told that God knows their works, their charity (or love), their service for Him, their faith, and their patience. Nothing was hidden from Him - He know us too, we can hide nothing from Him.

Condemnation: - Even though He commended them for the good He saw in them, God still had 'something against' them, for the sinful practices that they continued to tolerate. How is it with you? We may be able to fool others, but all things are known to God, we cannot fool Him.

Call: - The believers at Thyatira were encouraged to overcome sin, to hold fast their godly faith and works - those that were able to do this were assured of a reward. Can we do the same - what will your reward be at Christ's coming? Will you hear "Well done thou good and faithful servant"?
