Memory Verse: Philippians 4:13
Day 1: Read Phil 4:11-12, 2 Cor 11:23, 1 Tim 6:8, Acts 16:22, and discuss: What did Paul mean by needing to learn to be content? What events did he go through to serve as "classroom" sessions? How has God used difficult circumstances in your life teach you contentment?
Day 2: Phil 4:13, Eph 3:16, 2 Cor 12:9, and discuss: How has "doing all things through Christ" been used out of context? What is the real purpose of Christ giving us strength? Who gets the glory for it? How should relying on God's grace change how we perceive difficult seasons?
Day 3: Matt 7:24, Phil 4:13, 1 Tim 1:12, 2 Tim 4:17 and discuss: Why is it important to know that we can do "all things" that God wants us to do? How does this clarify our focus as to why we are made strong? In his last letter to Timothy, what did Paul say was the purpose was for the Lord to strengthen him? How should this change the motive of our asking the Lord for His strength.
