The Christian must seek Him

God's first call to the Christian is to seek Him. He has sought us so that we may seek Him through the grace of His revelation and His will. The true point of distress in any Christian's life comes as the result failing to seek God or from an unsuccessful or unsatisfying search for Him. What we are to want from God is Himself and what we are to bring to God is a heart longing to know Him. A whole hearted search for God leads to a whole hearted surrender to Him.
