The Fearful Miss Christmas

Herod missed one of the greatest events in his day- the birth of Christ. Why? It is reasonable to say it was because he FEARED- not so much Christ, but what Christ might do and what His coming meant! See, Christ threatened him! The birth of Christ was perceived as that which would jeopardized his reign, well-being, power, autonomy, and independence. And so, this man- and so many like himsince- missed the first Christmas!
