Commendation or Condemnation?

One lesson we can learn from the example of the church at Pergamos is the importance of being watchful against such things as heresy and corruption in the church. We need to watch and pray, lest we too come under God's condemnation.

We need to stand against those things which may undermine our faith. The Lord knows us, and if we are to hear His commendation of "well done good and faithful servant", then we need to be careful, faithfully seeking to be 'overcomers' and those who keep themselves unspotted from the world.
