The hallmarks of faithful ministry are a) it is founded in the Gospel of God, b) it is not of error, deceit or fraud, c) it is approved and entrusted by God d) it is pleasing to God and not men.

The motivation of a faithful ministry is a) Uprightness in heart, not of flattering speech, nor a pretext for greed, nor marked by thirst for the glory of men, b) Christ-like humility, servant-hood, tender, gentle, unselfish.

These marks are not a blueprint, but a picture. Paul was not a pastor, but an apostle, an evangelist and a church-planter.
