The Enthusiasm of God

Spurgeon said, "God has all the instincts of fatherhood and motherhood blended in one." You cannot read this passage without having your mind filled with the images of the heart of parents for their children. God's zeal for our salvation is something that generates the passion of all "His heart and soul." Such a statement from God demands we stop, put our hands to our mouths and consider the depth of His passion at this point... the salvation of His people.
